Hi, welcome to my website. My name is Neil Howarth and I like to write (and read) fast paced thrillers. The picture you see above represents my writer’s world, or at least the starting point, which is not so much about writing the story but finding the story in the first place.

Where is this empty street? Where does it lead? And more importantly, did someone pass this way? Did people meet here? Who were they? Why did they come to this place?
That is the journey I start out on when I begin seeking a new story.

I’m constantly, looking for stories, looking for strange, shady, tales that are true, and more important from the story perspective, that could have been true. I’m always treading that fine line between what happened and what could have happened, between people who actually existed and who might have been. I believe it’s somewhere in the shadows, in the nooks and crannies between these elements that the great stories are found. If you’re interested why not join me on that journey.
